Role Overview

As a Senior Backend Engineer at FunderPro, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the backend infrastructure of our prop trading technology. Working within our TypeScript and NestJS tech stack, you will lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, performant, and secure backend solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that drive business growth and customer success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Backend System Design: Lead the design of scalable, efficient, and innovative backend systems and architectures that meet the evolving needs of our prop trading platform.
  1. Backend Development: Develop and maintain robust backend solutions using TypeScript and NestJS, focusing on writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code using best practices.
  1. API Development: Design and implement secure and efficient RESTful APIs to facilitate seamless communication between different components of the FunderPro platform.
  1. Security: Implement and maintain robust security measures within backend systems to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  1. Collaboration: Work closely with frontend engineers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions. Ensure seamless integration between backend services and frontend components.

Requirements:

    Role Overview

    As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at FunderPro, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape. You will lead the technical team. Your responsibilities will include driving the creation of a new codebase and tech stack, overseeing the existing product and new technology roadmap, and ensuring further growth and success.

    Reporting Structure

    The CTO will report directly to the Group CTO and Technical Director of Red Acre Group.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Tech Stack Leadership: Spearheaded the development and implementation of our tech stack, leveraging TypeScript, NestJS, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB. Drive the creation of a new codebase and tech stack to meet evolving business needs.
    • Team Structure and Culture: Lead and nurture a team of around 15 engineers, including Product, QA, and Developers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive office culture. Focus on enhancing office culture and promoting teamwork within a distributed team setup.
    • Product and Customer Focus: Collaborate closely with support, operations and risk management teams to ensure alignment and prioritization of customer-centric initiatives. Drive a smoother flow for end-users and B2B clients, enhancing the overall customer experience.
    • Security and Compliance: Establish and enforce robust security measures and standards, ensuring that security is at the core of all technical initiatives. Take proactive measures to mitigate security risks and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

      • Invoicing and Billing:
      - Generate accurate and timely invoices for clients based on contractual terms.
