Role Purpose

We are seeking a detailed oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team. Successful candidate will maintain accurate financial records, support financial reporting and contribute to process improvements. Accountant will collaborate closely with cross functional teams playing a key role in the company’s continued success and growth within the financial services sector.

• Maintain accurate accounting records within the company’s ERP system, ensuring compliance and completeness.
• Perform monthly reconciliations for accounts to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Assist with processing payments and maintaining detailed transaction records.
• Contribute to financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, year-end), focusing on fintech and financial services metrics.
• Prepare audit documentation and support external auditors during the audit process.
• Collaborate on financial analysis, ad hoc projects, and process improvements.
• Participate in ERP system enhancement projects to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and applicable standards.

Required Skills

• Relevant experience in accounting, with a good understanding of reconciliations and financial reporting .
• Familiarity with financial services or fintech industry practices is an advantage.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with specific platforms is a plus).
• Advanced MS Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and stakeholders.

Nice-to-have Skills

Experience in payroll services both in Cyprus and Malta

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• ACCA, ACA, CPA, or similar accounting qualification (or near completion).
